Paua is launching a new rebate program for EV drivers

Paua has launched the new Paua Reimburse solution to provide fair compensation to electric vehicle (EV) drivers when charging both at home and on the go.

The new solution has been developed by Paua in partnership with Royal Mail to address the industry-wide challenge of equitably compensating EV drivers.

The company said it took about 18 months to design and test the new system.

New refund system built on Paua’s existing EV charging card solution, which includes a UK roaming network of 44,000 connectors, including 70% of all fast chargers in the country.

Drivers can manage all their returns through the Paua mobile app, which includes accurate and customizable mileage capture.

The solution offers full cost reimbursement, Paua clients receive HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) approval in line with current guidance, and a streamlined exit flow for trusted processes.

Paua added that his plan will ensure that all drivers benefit, regardless of the type of their cars, the tax chosen, or the charger used.
