Allianz is launching new roadside assistance in the UK

Allianz Partners has launched a new range of roadside assistance products in the UK to enhance its service offering for transport providers, car owners, banks and insurers.

The launch includes three levels of tailored cover: ‘disruption’, ‘accident’, and an integrated ‘separation and risk’ package.

Each of these offerings can be customized according to the needs of our business partners and their end users.

The company’s roadside assistance service boasts a digital customer journey that can be integrated with business partners’ online platforms.

Through the digital platform, users can identify their location, describe their issue, track repair progress, and explore alternative travel options if necessary.

Allianz Partners’ interior and specialist vehicles are said to solve nine out of ten roadside problems.

Allianz Partners UK and Ireland chief sales and distribution officer Marcus Latchford said: “In the UK, Allianz Partners is not the first name people think of when it comes to roadside assistance. But we intend to change that. We already work with more than 50 car manufacturers and handled 10.5 million roadside assistance cases worldwide by 2023.

“The support capabilities we have developed around the world, combined with our level and unrivaled experience working with OEMs, put us in a good position to offer a compelling alternative to potential UK partners.”

Along with the new product launch, Allianz Partners has also partnered with Turo, a car sharing app that allows people to rent out their cars when they are not working.

All Turo bookings in the UK will now come with the added guarantee of roadside assistance, repairs, and recovery services.

Allianz noted that since autonomous vehicles are typically idle up to 92% of the time, platforms like Turo provide a highly efficient solution that is used and contributes to environmental sustainability.

Turo’s UK vice president Xavier Collins said: “Together, we’ve created a streamlined process that ensures our guests are quickly supported when they need roadside assistance, whether they’re staying in the UK or traveling to Europe.”

Latchford added: “Our new approach to roadside assistance is included in our partnership with Turo, where our assistance will be available to all customers using the Turo app.”
